Derek Cook joined Lynch, Chappell & Alsup in 2011. His practice is concentrated in the areas of oil and gas litigation, commercial litigation, tort, and other business and complex litigation matters
Mr. Cook is admitted to the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Cook is also a member of the Midland County Bar Association, the Midland County Young Lawyers Association, and the State Bar of Texas. Beginning in 2012, Mr. Cook will be a member of the board of directors of both Hospice of Midland and the American Diabetes Association of Midland and Odessa.
Mr. Cook received his B.A. in History from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2007, graduating magna cum laude. He graduated from Baylor University School of Law in 2011. At Baylor, he was an associate editor of the Baylor Law Review.
